Heat wave: care to avoid physical discomfort
Civil Defense advises drinking plenty of water, wearing loose clothing, staying in cool places and people over 65 years of age, as well as children, should take extreme care.

Given the high temperatures that are being recorded in the province and that will continue throughout the weekend, the Ministry of Security provides a series of care to the population to avoid physical discomfort.

Among the measures to follow, Civil Defense recommends drinking plenty of water throughout the day, avoiding physical exercise outdoors in hours of intense sun and staying in cool places.

It is also important to avoid the consumption of alcoholic or very sweet drinks and hot infusions; wear loose clothing, light materials and light colors and protect yourself from the sun by wearing a hat.

On the other hand, people over 65 years of age, such as children and those who suffer from chronic, respiratory or cardiac diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity, should take extra care.
