Ko´olelm collective collects to support migrant women |Purple witness

Members of the Ko´olelm feminist collective are making a collection of footwear, clothing and sanitary items for migrant women who arrive at the patrons hostel.
The members indicated that, due to winter, migrant women who pass through Veracruz territory and scale in the patrons shelter, need coats, blankets, shoes among other items to face the cold, so they are performing this action.
They will also be receiving personal care items such as sanitary towels, buffers, soaps and basic medicines with a current expiration date, since they are indispensable for migrants.
The collections will be made in two points of the state, the first in the city of Xalapa on Leonora Vicario street number 123 until December 17;And the second, in the Multicultural Forum of the Patio de la Estrella, in Córdoba.
“The collection is for season, we have a permanent collection for migrant women, but we try to wear clothes and because what we collect in every 3 or 4 months we are looking for them to donate clothes, shoes bags, backpacks, blankets, blankets, towelsHealth and basic medicines, ”said the collective.
They pointed out that the idea is to deliver before December 24, which they know are dates there will be a significant number of migrants in the Paso refuge.
Likewise, the collective indicated that it is necessary.
