The number of acts of solidarity in recent days to help the victims of the volcanic eruption in La Palma is overwhelming. Charity football matches, clothing collection in all corners of the islands, availability of many vacation home owners to lend their homes to the victims, collection of money, food for animals and household goods. The desire to help the residents of La Palma turns into a tsunami of hope, which in this case has also reached the United States, from where the popular chef José Andrés is already organizing a visit with his NGO World Central Kitchen, to bring his best recipes to those who have been left with nothing.

And the list goes on, the Unión Deportiva Las Palmas, for example, will send 1,300 sportswear items in the next few hours: 229 polo shirts, 478 trousers, 255 T-shirts, 152 sweatshirts, 138 jackets and 42 raincoats. Also, the yellow team, together with women's Granadilla, is already organizing a friendly match to collect funds for the victims.
The municipalities of El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane have requested donations of money through various accounts, as has the Cabildo de La Palma, which has also enabled the Bizum payment method.
In the specific case of El Paso, in addition to donations, the local corporation asks for volunteers to attend to the emergency and lodging for the evacuees.
Not in vain, an added difficulty that the victims are finding is the scarce, almost null, offer to rent a house on the island. The Government of Spain has asked the banking entities to make the flats that are empty available to these people.
The Yaiza Town Council, in Lanzarote, is organizing a collection, as is UGT Canarias, both in Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
On these two islands there are various collection points in commercial establishments.
Also participating in this wave of solidarity is the Tenerife murga Ni Many Ni Few or the Villa de Santa Brígida football team.
Even Cruz Roja Albacete announces on social networks a donation campaign for the victims of La Palma.
And in times when social networks prevail, there are from influencers such as the humorist Kike Pérez or players who will dedicate part of the proceeds on Twitch, to individuals who ask where there are donation points on their islands or canaries residing on the peninsula who They offer to travel to their land with their suitcases loaded with donations for the victims.
