The shooting occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. Thursday at a Burlington store, part of a chain formerly known as the Burlington Coat Factory, in the North Hollywood area of ​​the San Fernando Valley.

The woman in question was taken to a hospital with moderate to severe injuries, according to Nicholas Prange, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
