Scalpers, the Sevillian textile company, returned to the growth of its business in the 2021 financial year, after overcoming the drop in sales caused by the pandemic in 2020, and it does so with record revenues of 110 million euros , 52% more. Before the health crisis, Scalper had a turnover of 83 million euros in 2019, which fell to 72 million in 2020 due to the effect of the restrictions imposed on trade.
With this turnover in 2021, which exceeds the company's own expectations, the Ebitda of the textile company that started as a specialist in men's fashion is above 15% of sales (about 16.5 million), according to data released by the company.
The strong increase in business occurs both in physical sales in stores and in its digital channel, where in 2021 it also experienced very high growth, 46.5% compared to 2020, and already represents 24% of the total of sales. Scalper's online business is carried out on its own international website, and is reinforced by the marketing of its products in various national and international electronic stores, such as Zalando, El Corte Inglés, La Redoute, Trendyol or About You.
In the last year, it has also consolidated its Invited Brands strategy, a market place integrated by Scalpers on its website to market products from other brands. This strategy hopes to triple its turnover by 2022, turning the website into a multi-brand sales platform.
At the end of 2021, it also launched the Scalpers Home line, dedicated 100% to household products, so this year it expects to open the first specific points for this business, which will also have digital sales and is already available in El English Court.

The women's fashion line, Scalpers Woman, also grew at double digits and now represents 20% of the sales of the entire company. In 2022 Scalpers will be 15 years old. And coinciding with this date will be the launch of its new sports line, Scalpers Adrenaline (ADN).
Scalpers currently has 250 points of sale in six countries, including its own stores and corners in El Corte Inglés, in Spain, and Palacio de Hierro, in Mexico, which employ more than 1,300 people.
For 2022, Scalpers has good expectations both in Spain and its international markets, where it will focus its growth on Mexico, Portugal–where the business grew 50% in 2021 and the company already has 12 points of sale– and Chile.
The company has signed alliances with international partners also in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium with whom it hopes to consolidate in Europe. The general retail strategy changed in 2021, and the new openings have a much larger format, which allows the coexistence of the men's and women's collections.
