The King of Spain, Felipe VI, was received this morning by Governor Pedro Pierluisi under strict protocol in La Fortaleza to fulfill an extensive agenda of activities related to the Fifth Centenary of the city of San Juan.
His visit to Puerto Rico since yesterday has been a source of attention for public officials, businessmen with international relations with Spain, protesters against the actions of the Spanish government and citizens in general. Similarly, lovers of fashion and good dress have been attentive to the meeting of the Spanish monarch with government officials.
Precisely on social networks an image circulates between King Felipe VI and Governor Pierluisi in which a comparison of the clothing between both leaders is made. The photograph was taken by a photojournalist from El Nuevo Día during the news coverage.

For fashion connoisseurs, the governor should have considered a better fit in his blue suit for the historic occasion, since image projection is also a way to communicate and carry a message.
The La Tigre boutique in Santurce made a comparative observation between both men's suits and pointed out how successful the Spanish monarch was on his second day in Puerto Rico and described how the governor of Puerto Rico should have improved.

“A good suit can mean the difference between projecting power or weakness. This applies to most of our interactions where important decisions are made and where our image is the cornerstone. King Felipe VI of Spain knows how to wear a suit that fits him perfectly, but style is a learning curve and there is always room for improvement. At La Tigre, we design your garments with your progress in mind and support your style goals with expertise and purpose."
Magacín spoke with the founder of the concept of La Tigre, Mario Alberghini in Santurce about some of his remarks when wearing a male suit in which he stressed that good dress is not limited to suits and designs of thousands of dollars, on the contrary lies in using correct garments for the occasion with a suitable fit. That is the basic rule.

“If one makes a parallel comparison in the way of carrying the message, it is well marked between the king and the governor. In the case of the governor, he has a large suit, the fit was not the best. The king wears a correct fit in the trousers, the jacket and the suit of the shirt is a little more open and the play of colors is more open. What I wanted to communicate with the publication on the networks is that the solution is simple, it is a proper fit. It's not about wearing a $5,000 suit versus $500 suits. It is knowing how a correct fit can project a more polished image that communicates positivism, control, power and self-control”, explained the owner of the boutique.
Alberghini explained that the governor was successful in the blue hue of the suit , but he had to be careful in the fit of the jacket, pants and sleeves. Regarding the pants, he commented that since they do not have the right hem, there is a surplus of fabric at the bottom and "it gives the impression that the person is shorter in stature."
On the other hand, the suit of the son of the Spanish monarchs Juan Carlos de Borbón and Sofía de Grecia was perfect at the notch level from the shoulders to the ankles. Felipe VI used a suit with a classic fit and trousers at the waist, in combination with a shiny tie.
“We can understand that many people do not give this any thought, but since it is a historical moment that will last through time, one has to learn that the image communicates and projects professionalism, power in itself and is a way to express confidence or what you are doing”, concluded the menswear connoisseur.
