Men's fashion is updated and changing according to the season. Style and innovation are fundamental to creating new garments. Focused on that, Gato Negro Denim Duality, a men's clothing brand from Cochabamba, presents its latest collections called Summer and Bicolor.

For this spring-summer, the firm designed shorts, tight pants, planters, vests and jackets, among other garments. The colors that predominate in both collections are light blue or light green, although classic tones such as black and blue are also available.

The brand is specialized in the use of jeans material, in its different varieties, such as lycra, semi-licra and rigid. Likewise, cotton is part of its production range. The owner, Alejandra Mamani, says that they use high-quality imported fabrics.

The Bicolor collection has the characteristic of combining two tones in the same garment, for example, in pants and jackets. In addition, they offer the option of lycra and rigid fabric in each design, with the idea that each man chooses what makes him feel most comfortable. In fact, they make sizes to order for all types of bodies. “To do something different and get out of the ordinary, we try to mix light colors with dark ones. Something only suitable for the brave”, explains Alejandra.

Gato Negro was born from the hand of the married couple of Alejandra Mamani and Tito Ajhuacho, in 2019, after accumulating experience making clothes for other brands.

The name has a peculiar history. Alejandra started following cats since she was little, a taste that she reinforced in Argentina, while she studied Interior Design. The wisdom and power associated with this animal was what motivated them to adopt the name, and they wanted to combine it with a color that never goes out of style. "We chose cat because it gives us the peace of mind to be able to emerge and we have no limits, like cats," he says.

The time of the pandemic was very hard for the couple, but they decided to continue betting on the brand and innovating. Over time, Gato Negro grew and currently generates employment for other people.

Among their future projects they have in mind to launch a women's clothing brand and continue expanding nationally.
