Considering the huge number of brands that flood in the market, it is not strange that before launching the adventure, Danielle Windsor, decided to weigh their options."Creating my own brand has been one of my vital ambitions always, but only until I really saw a niche that needed to be covered," confesses this British, which after years of experience both in haute couture firms and in Ready-To-Wear, at the beginning of 2017 he decided to materialize that desire through his yaitte firm.“I have been lucky to spend time in very different countries and companies with different aesthetics and approaches. Al principio de mi carrera trabajé en Viktor & Rolf en Ámsterdam, lo cual fue una experiencia increíble desde la perspectiva del diseño...The details that enter and their meticulousness are amazing ”, acknowledges."Then I spent a time in Inditex in A Coruña, it was a brilliant moment and understood how large companies can work and prosper, in addition to staying relevant in a world like fashion, in continuous movement," he continues.
Today, everything learned for more than a decade becomes a way in this firm focused on enhancing precisely all those knowledge acquired over the years, but also in discarding all that part of the industry that is not always equally attractive."I would say that our main objective is probably to get away from fast fashion and constant change, we only launch small capsules that we like to think they are multi -state and multipurpose," explains Windsor.
The result of this purpose goes through a proposal in which iconic and timeless pieces mark the dynamics and in which, above all, the shirts play a crucial role. But why shirts?“Personally I love both the garment itself, as well as the multiple styles that you can achieve with each of them.If the shirt is correct, you can use it for many different events or simply take advantage of its comfort using it in your day to day, ”says Windsor.
Although not only the pragmatism of having a series of key pieces in our closet fund pushed her to focus her collections on them. The suitcase and nomadic inspiration have also played a definitive role in the creation of the Yaitte Universe.“We want our clients to build a yaitte wardrobe that lasts. With travel and exploration in the Core of our concept, ”explains the creative that, not in vain, has focused each of its capsule collections to date on a different form of evasion.
The last of those adventures, the escalem collection, takes the trip as a starting point.“We wanted to imagine it as the desire to sail towards the adventure.Escape through the mind and exploration of thoughts. After a year that has put us to the test, escapism has been in the center of my current collection and images of origin ”.
In fact, the truth is that even Danielle herself has lived a real personal trip since Yaitte saw the light four years ago.“We have grown organically from the first day both in financing and in followers and we are very happy with the way people have reacted to this spirit.Although, obviously, this means that it has taken time, we feel that we are moving in the right direction ”.
An address in which a specific product has played a more than fundamental role. His ‘Buoy’ shirt became a definitive best-seller since its launch and still today is a declaration of intent in aesthetics and principles..“It is recognizable instantly and due to its longest Boyfriend style line, you feel each client differently.I really feel proud of this design and that Yaitte has gained recognition, ”defends its creator. And all, although the design is not the only standard of the firm: its 'palm' model advocates a wide cut and the quality of a Popelín that breathes summer, while in the case of the 'voyage' model, the possibilities are extended and can work from as a beach dress, to party or basic shirt for day to day."My eye is constantly looking for new or old forms and silhouettes that I think that Yaitte's client could like it and with which he would identify," says Danielle.
Today, that search seems to have paid off and the good news goes through the expansion of the firm, now also, to the male design."We just launched a man who excites us very much and, as with the rest of our creations, this is a piece that we believe can be used on multiple occasions, turning male fashion into a new market for us".Or, in other words, we will soon have another wide catalog of already available male garments to be adapted to our aesthetics and join our closet.Because after all, do you ever have enough Boyfriend shirts?Yaitte, suddenly, seems to have found the answer.
