Familia and Enka increased quarterly profits

Companies in the region continued to present positive balances for the third quarter of this year. Grupo Familia, for example, reported income of $822,659 million, with a growth of 17.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The company highlighted that innovation with new products such as the launch of Tena disposable underwear, or Familia napkins made with 100% recycled fibers have leveraged the good results.

“Despite having experienced a year with multiple challenges in Grupo Familia, once again we put our agility, the talent of our collaborators and the great value of permanently connecting with all our stakeholders to the test so that the purpose of this company continues in force" said Andrés Felipe Gómez Salazar, president of Grupo Familia.

Likewise, the firm highlighted the purchase of 44.8% of the shares of Productos Familia by Essity, a hygiene and health products company with a global reach that already owned 50%.

With this move, the company expects to maintain positive results in the financial results of the last quarter and promote the expansion of the brands in the portfolio.

“We will end this year full of optimism and with the firm conviction that the integration with Essity will allow us to continue being a leading company in the market and that, in turn, will continue to positively impact society, the planet and consumers Gomez said.
