The calendar indicates that it's time to rearrange the closet. The heavier clothes have to go to winter quarters and it's time to dust off the lighter clothes .
Coats, warm jackets and wool overalls need some care to be 100% next winter. Take note!
Washing. The first step is to wash everything, condition each item so it can be stored. It is necessary that the clothes do not have body odors or perfumes because otherwise the aromas can attract the much hated moths. In addition, textiles that are stored with stains can have yellow tints.
Selection. Once all your clothes are clean, place them on your bed. If any garment was not used this winter, it is clearly a candidate to be donated. Save space and free it up. Before donating it, ask yourself if it still has room for use because it is not necessary to donate what is not in good condition.
Saved. When arranging clothes it is necessary to protect them. Coats and jackets can be stored in specific bags with closures. On the market there are also bags that are vacuum-sealed, ideal for saving space and that allow you to store anything from blankets or quilts to wool overalls.
Shoes. They can be stored in drawers or plastic containers. You need to dust them off. So that they do not deform, tissue paper or white cardboard can be placed inside. To avoid moisture you can place a tea bag inside.
Moth and moisture repellents. Mothballs keep the dreaded moths away but also leave a smell that is not always pleasant, so you can find other products with the same end. In a salt shaker type container you can place coffee or bicarbonate, both products avoid moisture.
